The global COVID-19 outbreak has forced countries all around the world to take drastic public health and economic measures that will leave long-lasting impact even after the pandemic subsides. While the severity of the outbreak and government responses differ vastly even between neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia, as the situation evolves, issues of human rights and social order are gaining greater importance as a topic of discussion amongst the citizens of ASEAN and beyond.In this webinar, we will explore relevant topics from the new geopolitical order in the making to human rights violations in the Ta’ang tea farming society in Northeast Myanmar, in the context of COVID-19. The webinar will feature a keynote speech by Atty. Michael T.
