Interfaith-Based Student Community: A Strategic Religious  Peacemaking and Deradicalization for Indonesian Youth

Amidst the rise of radicalism, interfaith-based student groups have formed in response as a way for youth to transform their perspectives and experiences through peace education, interfaith dialogue, and reconciliation. This study found that Muslim and Christian students who participated in Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia (YIPCI) benefited from their interactions with each other through the organization’s unique programs, which emphasized social pluralism and interfaith dialogue.
